For most of my life I have tried to downsize myself. I tried to become smaller, quieter, less sensitive, less stubborn, less needy, because I didn’t want to be cumbersome. I didn’t want to be “too much” and push people away. 👉I wanted to be liked. 👉I wanted to be appreciated and respected. 👉I wanted to be desired. And so for years, I sacrificed the real me to make others happy. And I suffered, a lot. But then I got tired of suffering, I didn’t want to belittle myself anymore. And I realized that it’s not my job to wait for other people’s expectations of how I should be. I am enough🙌 Not because others think I am, but because I exist and that’s enough to be important. My thoughts are important. My feelings matter. My voice matters. I don’t need anyone’s permission or approval, I will continue to be who I am, me and my truth. Even if this will push people away, even if this choice will irritate them. I choose to fully occupy my space in the world. I chose to satisfy my needs. I chose to live my dreams. I chose myself ❤️
